First children and then have made mascots of the school using different techniques and materials. An exhibition and a contest on a local level is organised at each school by December. The national winner mascots will be given names and introduced on the wiki. They will visit children's homes, stay with them for days, take photos, write reports/diaries on their experiences which will be published on this wiki. This will be an ongoing activity during the project time. These mascots will "travel" to the project meetings and teacher exchanges.
INTERNATIONAL MASCOT COMPETITION
The Romanian winner: Momo
The Hidden Talents
International Competition winner:
The pupils and the staff of the Romanian school have worked together to organize the Mascot competition. oosing the best mascot was not easy work as lots of children had wonderful ides and managed to produce impressive drawings and paintings.
Each class teacher explained the steps to their pupils, who started working eagerly. Three or four items were chosen from each class. After all the drawings and paintings were collected, they were exhibited in our school, on the ground floor. Each of them had a number, the name of the artist not being visible in order not to influence the voters. Everybody in the school had enough time to observe them and find the most suggestive one. The teachers made sure that all the children in the school had seen the exhibits. Everybody voted and the team in charge centralized the collected information. The drawing which received the most votes was chosen as the Romanian mascot and it is to be materialized in a “travelling mascot”.
The winning mascot is number 39.
The travelling mascot is a smart and proud creature having eagle wings, owl eyes and parrot crest. His name is Momo. He’s able to conquer all the hearts and to support the campaign of discovering Hidden Talents because he has special power – he is the Romanian children ambassador.
